Lagos State Junior WAEC (BECE) 2025 Schedule Q and A

all questions and answers for all subjects are here…..

Before we continue… Things to note.

To succeed in the Lagos State BECE examination, it is important for students to be well familiar with all the subjects on the syllabus. These include core subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science, Basic Technology, National Values Education, Business Studies, as well as other subjects like CRS or IRS, French, Nigerian Languages, Creative Arts, and Pre-Vocational Studies. Students should ensure they revise each subject thoroughly, focusing on both objective and theory aspects of the exam.

Practicing past BECE questions from previous years is one of the most effective ways to prepare. This helps students get used to the exam format, understand common question patterns, and improve their speed and accuracy. It is advisable to time yourself when answering past questions to develop proper exam timing. Creating a personal study timetable can help students organize their time better. By assigning daily periods to specific subjects and breaking study sessions into manageable lengths, students can maintain better focus and cover more ground before the exam.

Studying with friends can be helpful, especially when discussing difficult topics or asking each other questions. However, group studies should be disciplined and not turn into distractions. Students should also make use of flashcards and simple memory tricks like mnemonics or acronyms to remember key facts, formulas, and processes. Where a topic is difficult or confusing, students should not hesitate to ask their teachers for clarification. Teachers are often familiar with how questions are set and can guide students effectively.

Special attention should be given to important topics. For example, Mathematics topics such as fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, and geometry are very common. In English, students should focus on grammar, comprehension, summary, and essay writing. For Basic Science and Technology, understanding key processes like photosynthesis, magnetism, energy, and electrical circuits is essential. In National Values and Social Studies, students should know their civic responsibilities, current national issues, and moral values.

As the exam approaches, students must take good care of their health. This includes eating balanced meals, getting enough rest, and staying hydrated. Late-night cramming is not advisable the night before an exam. Instead, it is better to review lightly and sleep well to be fresh and alert the next morning. On exam days, students should arrive at the center early—at least 30 minutes before the paper begins. All necessary materials such as pens, pencils, erasers, and the exam slip should be ready in advance.

Most importantly, students should remain confident. They must believe in their ability to succeed. Positive thinking reduces fear and improves focus. A short prayer or quiet moment before starting the exam can help calm the nerves. With proper preparation, focus, and confidence, students can perform very well in the BECE and gain admission into Senior Secondary School successfully.
